Key Stage 3

PHSE/Citizenship

For 'Fairtrade Fortnight', the children in class 2 opened their very first Fairtrade cafe.

Report by Ben

I think our fairtrade cafe was very successful because a lot of people came and they all wanted to know a lot about fairtrade. They looked at the leaflets our class made. Not many parents came, but the school governors and local residents came. I think we raised awareness of Fairtrade. The best bit was putting smiles on other peoples faces. It would have been better if people in our class got on with eachother!

I helped waiting tables and making drinks. I also raised Sue and Mrs Walker's awareness of Fairtrade by explaining what some of the words meant on the wordsearch that Ashley made. Before the Fairtrade cafe I made and posted some flyers on Chingford Road. If I was to be part of another project, I would try to work more s a team, but overall I think it was a huge success.
